Consultant Psychiatrist

An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Consultant Psychiatrist to work in an exceptional mental health service based in the Gosport area. As a Consultant Psychiatrist you will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers.

This special service is rehabilitation and recovery service for males presenting with mental illnesses and complex needs, that are often accompanied by challenging behaviours.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist your day to day duties include:
• Take overall responsibility and charge of the medical care of all the patients on the post holders unit
• Holding and chairing monthly patient review meetings
• Reviewing each of their inpatients ensuring that these assessments are documented
• Attending daily morning meetings to address all incidents and safeguarding matters
• Attending the peer group with other Psychiatrists to meet the RCPsych CPD criteria
• Attending Clinical Governance, Health and Safety and referrals meetings
• Offering a psychiatric perspective to the multidisciplinary team in relation to the assessment, formulation and treatment of patients
• Taking clinical responsibility for patients including Patient review meetings, risk reviews, strategic reviews and the development of a therapeutic milieu

An ideal Consultant Psychiatrist must have these skills as they are beneficial for this position:
• Registered with the GMC

• Professional leadership to multi- disciplinary team
• Drive continuous improvement in medical and professional practice

The successful Consultant Psychiatrist will receive an amazing salary of £145,000 FTE. This exciting position is a Part Time role working 22.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
