Senior Staff Nurse

An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Senior Staff Nurse (New Female PICU Service!) to work in an exceptional hospital service based in the Thatcham, Berkshire area. As a Senior Staff Nurse you will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers.

This is a medium and low secure service with rehabilitation flats. The service provides a seamless internal care pathway supporting and empowering patients in their recovery and rehabilitation

As a Senior Staff Nurse your day to day duties include:
• Providing leadership and support for support staff and act as a champion for residents’ safety and dignity
• Maintaining skills and knowledge and ensure that care is delivered according to latest guidelines and best practice evidence available
• Ensuring the ongoing safety of service users, residents, staff and visitors through systematic assessment, monitoring and reviewing processes
• Ensuring that clear and accurate records and communication systems relating to clinical and care delivery are maintained and effectively used
• Acting as a role model for good clinical and care governance practice
• Taking charge of the unit regularly and, in the absence of the management team, accepting responsibility for the smooth and effective running of the unit
• Helping to maintain the security of the building and its environment

An ideal Senior Staff Nurse must have these skills as they are beneficial for this position:
• With a minimum of 18 months post-registration experience as a Staff Nurse
• Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
• Flexibility and self-motivation
• Excellent communication skills
• Understanding of the importance of the therapeutic social environment

The successful Senior Staff Nurse will receive an excellent annual salary up to £32,600 per annum. This exciting position is a Full Time role and in return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
